end of July

I can hardly believe that August arrives with this weekend. Once again I feel as though summer is running away without me. I have not had much time away from the city, out by the water, in the fields,on the country roads, poking about small towns, in the woods, looking at starry skies.........
Will try to make up for that. Must.

This is a great picture, btw! I'm sorry summer is slipping away for you. As for me, I'm happy to see the back end of it. That's when I do my exploring, star gazing, trekking through anywhere....I'm a fall/winter soul...if I could package up summer and send it to you, I would :)

Summer does seem to fly by doesn't it. Be sure to make the time to enjoy what's left of it Shelagh. :)

Such a surreal moment you've captured. The weather forecasters are saying that this (Vancouver) is about to be the driest on record - I guess we're making up for a dismally cold and wet May and June. I can't believe I'll be on your doorstep next week! Looking forward to hiking and eating and exploring and poking around small village antique shops and farmers' markets and.....

I bought a copy of this photo, made into a card, at Love Me boutique and included it in a summer-themed swap to send all the way over to New Zealand. I'll have to buy another copy for myself soon.
