Ocean Farm
available now on eBayWell, the big ships left us yesterday underneath blue skies and warm balmy breezes. They are now headed north for Cape Breton Island. We drove out to the lighthouse at
Chebucto Head to watch them all disperse in the distance. Handy things, binoculars. Many people were out on the grass and rocks high up on the bluff, with picnics, blankets and high spirits. It was fun.
Tonight I think will be a Harry Potter excursion. Off to see the new film:)
Really love this one!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Shelagh! Very cheerful painting! Have fun at Harry Potter! :-)
ReplyDeleteBye tall ships and that painting is awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove this one.. and just came from the Vineyard, where there are many oceanside farms! Just saw Harry too.. sad ending, but knew it was coming.. the "kids" are really growing up. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteYou really do have a way with colour and patterns... This painting depicts a perfect summer's day. And what a relaxing time it must have been for you to watch the ships head out. :)
ReplyDelete...love the picture...of course! i hope you love the new film. we saw it the other day and i thought it was quite entertaining. sad to hear the ships are gone, but someone else is enjoying their splendor i am sure! xo, mickey
ReplyDeleteHi again, Shelagh! I've nominated you for The Circle of Friends Blog Award as part of my first blogoversary celebration. I appreciate your frequent visits and comments! It means so much! :-)
ReplyDeleteI would have been tempted to stow away on one - what fairy stories might come to mind at sea on such a ship!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful painting from me - I feel the warm balmy breezes and smell the grass and ocean air. I would stow away in one of your paintings too.
What a lovely composition. I love your blog, all the vivid color. I am wanting to go see the new Harry Potter too. Hope you enjoy the movie, nice to meet you.
