"Alice Dancing Under the Gallows"
Thanks to Pat, I've discovered this amazing and inspirational woman. Alice Herz-Sommer, a concert pianist and the oldest surviving Holocaust victim. She was 39 when sent to the Concentration camp with her 6 year old son and husband. She is going to celebrate her 107th birthday this month. I loved reading this article about an average "day in her life". Puts me to shame. Optimism is the key to survival. We can all learn from her. This is worth sharing.
Thank you Shelagh for this enormously powerful video posting. I have added the link to my Facebook and credited you with the source giving also the link to your Blog. I drop by your quite often because I enjoy both your photography and the narrative that accompanies the photos.
Thank for sharing this Shelagh. She is so inspiring and it's nice for more people to learn her story
