New York dreaming

I don't know why, but I love this picture of New York! Lower East side. The Surtex show is happening  this May 20-22  and I REALLY  would love to go. How amazing and inspirational to explore it and then maybe get a booth there one day.  I have a deep hankering  to visit the Metropolitan Museum again. Get filled up with art and beauty. That's my daughter below, I came across this pic and had to post it. Isn't her hair amazing!
Ah yes...New York!

  1. I like that photo too. I think it's the placement of the street sign, and that old school coca-cola logo.

  2. I think you like it because it is so New York. So many of the things that shout "New York" are represented in that photo.

  6. Oh yes! New York is definitely a wonderful, spicy, one of a kind place. I love living on the West Coast, but i miss being closer to New York as we were when we lived in Maine. We get back East fairly often, but that time is spent with our families, (as it should be, really,) but i miss the city lots! And yes! Your daughter's hair is marvelous. :)

  9. No time like the present to go to the show...and if I know you, you'll have your booth there sooner rather than later. :-)

  10. I only recently (as in the last 2 months) learned that Times Square is now a pedestrian mall. When I was in NY, in 1989/90, it was still seedy & full of hookers. I can't imagine it any other way. I'd like to go back but I don't think any current trip could compare to the one I took back then, so I'll do without.
