I have been engrossed in season one and two of True Blood this weekend. Sheesh. Hard to stop watching when one show leads into the next. A gritty, dark series about the South and vampires with some really likeable characters. I read a couple of the books and have heard so much about the show I thought I would give it a whirl. Bad idea. I've spent a good part of my time in front of a screen this weekend! It feels like I am living in two worlds. Really weird. Thank goodness I am off to meet a friend later today! Shake off the world of Sookie Stackhouse:)

Yeees. I've been there. My husband and I got hooked just before the end of season two (which we watched first and then went back and watched season one). There were a lot of nights where we'd be up way too late watching and at the end of one episode we'd just HAVE to watch the first five minutes of the next episode. And the first five always turned into the ENTIRE episode. Made for a lot of tired mornings with the kiddies.

Oh isn't it wonderful to get lost in that supernatural TV trap in a way? I LOVE True Blood and yes, it is totally gritty and a very grown-up version of Twilight, the similarities are actually quite ridiculous. Shannon and I may have to talk about that show too, we love it so much.

Vampires scare me. But I think I'm the only person who feels that way! :)

I love that show. I started reading the series a while ago and then when I found out it was being made into a TV series I was so excited. I was not sure about the actors chose for the characters but after the first few shows I was hooked. I didn't even care that it did not follow the books exactly. I think the actress playing Sookie is perfect in the role. Oh, now I need a blood fix....
