February stuff

Cupcake at FRED in Halifax. I was there on Friday to celebrate a friend's birthday. So pretty, glimpses of spring in the flowers. Sigh. I always have a hard time in February and this year is no different. We just had a huge dump of snow yesterday.

Things to be happy about:
We are 30 days away from the first day of Spring
There is more light every day
Only 10 days left until March
It does start to warm up a bit in March.
I have a warm roof over my head.
People in many places are experiencing the same thing, it is not just me:)
Olympic sports are fun to watch!

ok, ok, so it is a boring list but it helped:)
How do you get over a February slump?

If things get really bad in the middle of winter, I go to the Conservatory for an afternoon and hang out in the artificial humidity with the tropical plants. Denial and pretending are wonderful survival skills!

I think that February is the longest month. The light therapy lamps really work for some people.

I read your blog, and gain a new perspective, that is what I do. xo

You are not alone. I feel like I've been sneezing for a month and I would like to break every mirror in the house. That cupcake would cheer me up, though.

I read a book for some great escapes! However, if I read a bunch in a row then I tend to isolate myself too much. On the flip side, I teach a class so that I'm focused on trying to inspire others. February seems to be a good time for art classes as everyone tends to need a pick-me-up. We're almost through it. Good luck!
