summer red

YUM! First crop. You have no idea how excited I was to go outside this morning and fill this wee bowl! Our very first strawberries. It is just a small patch but next year, look out! I also plan on putting some straw around them to foil the slugs. These were some delicious ones that got away:)

Today is it! If you were thinking about buying a print to possibly win a ticket to see Sir Paul , the deadline is midnight tonight. I've got 5 names in the hat so far:) Fun! I can hardly wait to give that ticket to the winner:)

Beautiful strawberries!

Mine were half eaten by squirrels...grrr..thank goodness they are leaving my raspberry bush alone!

Those look delicious! Did you start them from seed or buy plants?

I love strawberries and these photos make me want to eat them at is only 2:50AM (morning). I have been real sick and I am up having a cup a tea with honey to help my throat feel better. Well I am off to bed and hopefully I will stop coughing!
Namaste,
Joan

I'm so jealous! A beautiful picture and so impressive that they came from your own hard work! I bet they were delicious!
