Tall Ships at Dawn
Only a few souls about, finishing up the night watch. Waiting for the sunrise.
The moment I have been waiting for:)
So lovely and quiet. Here is a container ship slowly entering the harbour.
As it got brighter, more people started appearing. This boardwalk is a great place to walk and run. That is The Bounty behind them.
I went to move my car and loved the light from the east flooding this facade.
Me, with my back to the water getting a self portrait in a window as I waited for the sunrise.

Amazing photos!!! Thank you for sharing. I have to see the tall ships one day.
Beautiful shots. Getting up early really paid off. I'm so glad that you shared these.
These are beautiful shots! It was definitely worth your getting up so early. They are a perfect progression from the stillness of the early morning to the bustle of post-sunrise. Wonderful!
gorgeous, gorgeous photos !
In a word...GORGEOUS!
your posts always make me miss Halifax-- so beautiful!!
Wow, these photos are amazing! How gorgeous...
Gorgeous photographs, Shelagh! The lighting is incredible and your composition is spot on. You know, these photographs would make excellent cards or framed prints. Have they inspired you to paint these scenes in your own painterly style? Also, I'm not sure if you are from Lunenberg or near there but have you heard of a landscape painter named Cluny Maher? He's the father of a good friend of mine. He used to have a gallery in Lunenberg.
What fabulos shots! The water was so mirror like in the early morning.
Hi, Shelagh! Fabulous photos! Takes dedication to get up at dawn and go shoot pics! :-)
Stunning captures! I so appreciate your sharing your talent with us.
