Autumn colour

Headed here this morning to take some family portraits for a friend! Long Lake. Gorgeous day today. I'm looking forward to it but am nervous as always before snapping portraits.
Just read that NS and PEI are the only places in Canada that have not had snow yet. Hope that stays the same for a good while! Not ready for snow at all.
Tonight I am hosting bookclub so after my photoshoot I plan on popping by Costco for some cheese. Mmmm cheese. They have the best prices. I will undoubtedly walk out with more than what I came for but one can always try to practice discipline.
and....Kristine won the quirky cookbooks!

Oh Costco - such a love/hate relationship. Their prices are the best, but do I really need 6 heads of romaine lettuce or 10 lbs of carrots? And more important, where do I store them? Always a quandary for NYC apartment dwellers.

I feel the same way about portraits, especially groups. It's hard enough to get a good picture of one person, let alone several people at once. At least you have a beautiful setting!

I think cheese on top of freshly baked bread (with the crust just crunchy enough) tops my list of comfort foods. I plan on having some on the first snowy day this year. The picture is so peaceful..ahhhh.

I share your joy in cheese and fall colours. They have been so beautiful this year even my less-than-stellar camera has picked them up.

Thanks again for the cookbooks!

What an amazing photo. I live in California, which all but misses out on the gorgeous splendor of fall, so I love seeing pictures like this. :)
