Sunday at the Market
Yesterday's sunrise from the Halifax Seaport Farmer's Market. Wonder what ship that wee tugboat is going out to fetch? George's Island on the left. The picture below is Jenna, wearing her mitts because it was a bit cool. She owns a wonderful little company called Red Kitsch'n
Serving up ready-made meals to take home, soups and sweet treats. I often get soups from her to have for lunch. Yesterday's was Thai Chicken and rice. She uses local ingredients from the vendors at the market. Jenna is not there on Saturdays but can be found Friday and Sunday!

Those treats look simply delectable. I'll be at the Historic Market, starting this Saturday. I'm so ridiculously nervous about it but I've been taking a fair amount of inspiration from you (even though you had no idea)! Thank you. The beauty in you photography amazes me every time I see it.
What a beautiful shot.. that tug, with golden light on the harbor - and I'de be too frequent a flyer to that red Kitch'n. Cool name!
Shelagh- you made my day today, what a kind and generous and thoughtful gift I received in the mail this afternoon - Please visit post later tonight for more details - I've got tears in my eyes - Thank you, dear friend.
Well,Shelagh, you know I have to follow this blog now that I found you through ThisOldHouse! What a doll you are to be such a thoughful and kind person...and Karen is SUCH a lovely and deserving person...it couldn't have happened to anyone nicer.
I will be going back and reading some of your previous posts when I have an extra moment. Diana
Yummy baked goods!
I love your blog and your art. I was in Nova Scotia on vacation several years ago and fell in love with the art of Maude Lewis. Your paintings remind me of her art.
So glad I found your blog!
Your photos only get better! Love the sunset, Alice.
