Dim Sum
So first let me warn you, there are lots of pictures here! I think they all thought I was nutty taking snaps of everything but I just could not help myself. It was all so interesting to me.
This is tripe!
Steamed Barbeque pork buns and some other kind.
Pot stickers and Broccoli with beef
Chicken feet or 'Phoenix Talons" as a friend corrected me:)
There was tons of food and it kept getting replenished as dishes disappeared. All was served on a big lazy susan affair in the middle of the table. You spin it to get what you want:)
Sweet egg custard tarts

Beautiful post. Wish I lived closer to that restaurant. Yummo!
I love dim sum, but I must say this is the first time I've heard of calling chicken feet "phoenix talons" -- love it!! Makes them seem so much more exotic.
Was this the place behind Founder's Square that does this on Sundays? I can't remember the name. I soooo miss their Dim Sum and I also miss Mother Tucker's brunch. I can't wait to visit Nova Scotia again and eat at all the great restaurants... don't know what you got until you move away :(
I had hongkong dim sum last weekend and I had a few of these items too. Have you had deep fried silverfish? I swear you'll faint from pleasure.

Mmmmmmm...dim sum! I haven't had that in soooo loooong and now I'm craving it, thank you very much. My favourite is the sticky rice packages in the first photo. What does tripe taste like? It has an interesting texture. Everything looks so good here...I'm hungry!
Hi, please let me know where this is. I just moved to Bridgewater and love Dim Sum. And I love your blog and your cat and your paintings...
Hi Anonymous:) Thanks. These were taken at a restaurant called Chinatown on the Bedford Highway. Birch Cove about 20 minutes from the center of downtown.
