Mum doing her best Vanna imitation! What a terrific spread. This was only the start. People brought more. You bring 3 doz and go home with three dozen mixed. My mother should have been a designer. She loves putting together gorgeous displays.

Yesterday, I confined myself mainly to her kitchen washing teacups. I have a cold which is worse today but in the way that colds do, it is predictably going through it's life cycle. Last night I didn't sleep much, might have been the giant plate of cookies I ate trying to make myself feel better just before retiring. As well as the usual cold shenanigans, you know....... duel kleenex nose stoppers in between sneezes.Ok, ok I'll stop now.

I've got to drive my daughter to work, go to the post office, deliver some cookbooks and then I can head to bed for some rest and hopefully a nap. I'm not a napper.

This was a really interesting little article, The Dharma of Barbie For those who wonder to Barbie or not to Barbie.

Gorgeous spread, Shelagh. Hats off to the unstoppable MOM! Looks like a photo from Good Housekeeping.
Oh, your cold sounds dreadful. So, sorry. Take care and be thine own nurse. Who wouldn't think cookies would make you feel better!
Ronnie - who also needs a nap!

What a delighful collection of cookies, Shelagh! I would have loved to have been a part of this if I lived in Halifax! :-)
I always wanted to do a cookie exchange but very few of my friends enjoy baking.

I had that cold you have awhile ago an it took antibiotics to get rid of it -- you might need them too! Take good care!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, Shelagh. I know you must feel like a clogged drain and a dripping faucet combined. I just wanted you to know why I painted the car picture. Not a commission. Go back to my blog. I've added an explanation. I realized a was sounded like an ungrateful artist with all the previous whining.

(Sorry if this is a duplicate comment. My computer is acting up again.)

You're so lucky to have your Vanna Mom to spend time with. The cookie spread is out of this world-I would go nuts at that event-love cookies!

Hope you're on your way to feeling better. Rest is the way to go and some kind of soup-I like chicken noodle or wonton when I've got a cold. Feel better Shelagh.

Peace,
Leslie
