I love this painting. It was part of my show in December but was sold. I do have prints of it in my etsy shop. Ah, serenity and escape. This is such a hard time of year for those of us in the Northern hemisphere. We are so ready for warmth, colour and light! Valentine's day is the turning point for me, from here on, things improve, days get brighter and and bit by bit it starts warming up. Hooray. Hope the sun is shining where you are:)

This is such a beautiful painting Shelagh.

I agree... I am so ready for sunshine and today that wish was granted. Sitting here looking out at the water, light at 5pm, and having had some sunshine on my face today... it feels like Spring is definitely on the way. HOORAH!

PS. Your prints are waiting to be put up on our new walls :-)

Oh, that's beautiful! I'm longing for spring, too - but I think we still have a while to wait here in Winnipeg!

Hello, Found you on etsy. Love your work!
I'm on the coast of Maine so ..just a little south from you. Definitely craving some springtime and a break from all this snow.
Happy creating!

This painting is magical! I especially like the way you've painted the stars twinkling in the sky (the sky is alive with light!) and the design and colours of the long grass reminds me of stained glass. It's fascinating seeing how you see your world. Makes me want to hop on a plane to Nova Scotia this summer to see what you see!
