Frou frou

Wild Rose Cottage on eBay

It is like a skating rink outside. Cancellations are in force and there are reports of numerous accidents everywhere. The sun just burst through and it looks beautiful out there but I can hear the wind howling and everything is shiny with ice. Brr.

This painting I think is an antidote to all that. A frou frou summery cottage. Ah, wouldn't it be nice to be sitting in a deck chair sipping something delicious, overlooking the ocean with warm summer breezes caressing our skin.

Yes, it would, but I was considering yesterday as I glued a heart to a tiny turquoise TV I had painted, that if it were Spring I would surely not be in full tilt painting mode, but out in the garden planting and trimming and tilling. It would be an excruciating choice that I thankfully do not have to make today. :)
Thus, your lovely Frou frou may not have been created. Stay warm. Have tea. Cuddle with the cat. And paint some more!

Oh I sure would like to be sitting on a deck chair, sipping something delicious, overlooking the ocean with the sun on my bare skin. Ahhhhh! Just thinking about that makes me feel relaxed and happy.

Your painting is beautiful. I admire those - and that would be you - who know what they are doing with colour. The patterns on the ocean and in the sky are beautiful. So fresh!

Mmm, how I wish Newfoundland was having cottage weather. Sigh! The schools were closed this morning, but B had to go back this afternoon even though it is calling for bad weather again. The wind is picking up, so I hope the storm will hold off until suppertime!

That's my summer holiday you described right there! Northumberland Shore in July. 6 months and counting!

What a cheerful cottage.
That sounds dreamy. Someday...

Gorgeous painting and you included a little puppy this time for the dog admirers!

It;s cold and icy here too! Sometimes it's nice spending time indoors in winter, all snug and warm. :-)

A little off track here, but I JUST clicked that you are the same Alice In Paris that has stamps with Stamping Bella. YEAH YOU!! I love them!!!!

You have a large variety of talents. The paintings and photos on ETSY are all awesome. I really love the jelly jars one.

I could sink into that painting, never to return.

Shelagh-That would be nice-holding that idea in my mind. This painting is lovely and so very colorful-as are all your paintings, but this one just pops!

Oh I wish I were in that cottage right now! We're not going anywhere near the roads as they are, no thank you. My husband had to chip the walkway out of ice and now we're out of salt!

I've been drinking peppermint tea and lemon balm tea for my tummy. Ginger actually can upset my tummy, believe it or not. My naturopath couldn't believe it actually! It's crazy being this sensitive sometimes.
