Treasure Hunting

I was here yesterday, Cow Bay! One of a few stops while geocaching with some friends. What a windy, sunny, wonderful day! The wind was blasting here. The temperature was almost balmy so everything was melting. I could even smell the earth at times:)

Aren't these rocks on the beach great. It was hard not to pick some up and pop them into my pocket. So smooth and round. (April, see how similar they are?)

We found a ten dollar bill and a twenty under some melting snow, soggy and cold in a place impossible to locate the owner. We used it to buy lunch! Fish and Chips at a fantastic, famous, hole in the wall kind of place called funnily enough John's Lunch!

Looking towards Europe:)

Beautiful pictures ... we just spent the day on the beach for Isabella's Birthday. It was a perfect spring day with pure blue skies ... oh summer months here we come!

Oooh, lovely pictures! I love the beaches of the northwest and the northeast, and sometimes desperately miss the sounds and smells. Thanks for bringing the ocean to my little corner of the southwest.

So wonderful! I love the beach. It's so breathtaking. Nothing better than just walking and listening to Mother Nature at her best.....oh, except finding cash for lunch! Woo hoo!

Ohhhhh...these photographs of the beach are beautiful. I'm taking deep breaths, imagining myself on those rocks. And how lucky were you to find MONEY on the beach! And then to treat yourself to fish and chips - YUM! Sounds like you are having a terrific Sunday. :)

You took the money and left the stones...good choices. :)
I am always tempted to take stones too, but don't.
If you do, remember to leave the Earth something in return...scatter seeds or make some other offering to counterbalance.
Fish and chip lunch, hmm? Yummy!!!!

Oh it sounds like a perfect lovely day!
I look at the photo of the beach rocks, can't help myself, but to imagine some with a splash of paint upon them!

Oh and a 'free' fishnchips luncheon.
Oh, fantastic!
Cheers~

Lovely beach, if I had rocks on our beaches here in Oz, I would be taking home jar fulls!

I love the Nova Scotia beaches!

I have a big jar of similar rocks I collected on a beach in Italy. Some are heart shaped.

I guess someone was there throwing money into the wind ..lol! Glad it bought you lunch.

Hi, Shelagh! Such gorgeous pictures! I especially like the one of the rocks. I would be picking them up by the bucketful and trying to take them all home! :-)

Lovely photos!

I looked up the geocaching website and discovered there are caches hidden at the beaches in my hometown! I can't wait to get out there with my GPS!

If you look really hard at that photo, you can see me waving! Honest!

Lovely photos! Are you on Twitter? There's actually going to be a geocaching/photography contest in April. Details to be announced soon. I've never tried geocaching before but my husband and I are going to start this spring. Sounds like lots of fun and a great way to see this beautiful province!
