Happy New Year!

A white and cold vista outside. We have been pounded by a blizzard all night long and it is still raging. The good thing about high winds is that it tends to blow the snow into drifts and sometimes that means less snow to shovel!

The storm also meant that last night was spent at home. Watched Larry King moderate a debate on the existence of UFOs, our local City Hall outdoor concert/celebrations, Cooper Anderson in Times Square and lots of peering out the window with a glass of wine in hand :)

So, today is a day for cleaning, making lentil soup (good luck you know), sketching, and reading. Might even get some Wii action in there too. Oh....and shoveling.

Here is a good song start off the year!

Happy New Year!! Sounds like you are having a perfect New Year's Day. Sometimes we need a good snow day to keep us indoors and encourage puttering and laziness. Your cat looks so warm and content.

I just wrote about the blizzard too. Luckily we only had flickering lights, no power outage. Tons of snow here to clean up after but we had a snow angel take care of that for us. Nova Scotians really rock in a crisis.

Life is definitely sparkley here, hope it is for you too and that we do have a beautiful 2009.
